Last summer I was playing around on YouTube and I found an artist that I have fallen totally in love with. I can't remember the first video that i saw of hers/theirs, because I kept checking out everything I could find. I then turned around and got every release she/they had and it has all been on heavy rotation in my car and ipod ever since.
Goldfrapp is essentially Allison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory. She/they have been in the music biz for a while now and is still relatively unknown here in the States; Why? I haven't a clue!!!!
Their music style ranges from electronic, chill, glam rock, folk, etc... and now with their latest release, Head First, an homage to the early 80's with songs that evoke ELO and the Xanadu soundtrack. Cool, huh!?

Hi All and Welcome to My First Friday Favorites Post

It has been over a month since I posted and, even though I wanted to be here writing for our mutual pleasure, life sometimes gets in the way. I won't bore you with details, but I may dive into the why's and whatnot's in future posts.
So, I've been thinking about doing a series in my moments of wishful blogging, and I what I came up with is Friday Favorites. What are Friday Favorites, you ask? Just a post about something I love or find useful that will be on Fridays.
Today I decided to spotlight something that a fellow blogger and makeup artist extraordinaire turned me on to when I asked her for a recommendation for a foundation primer. Kathy Aragon is her name and her blog is makeupisart.com. After I told her about my concerns, she kindly recommended Skinprep FX Primer by Cover FX . She even has a review on her blog which you can read here.
So I ordered it in the smallest size they have at Nordstrom, and I have been using it every day since. My skin seems softer, more hydrated and smooth after I apply it. My makeup goes on nicely and stays put all day. I'm so impressed, that I can't foresee ever going back to Smashbox Primer which used to be my favorite. I highly recommend it!
